So how did this
easy quilt kit company get started anyway?
In 2001 Ericka
made her daughter theRosebud Quilt, and had lots of squares left over. She decided
to make a kit from these blocks, to give as a gift to a friend.
Then she decided to make more and more kits! Realizing how
much easier it was for herself and her friends to make a quilt
when all the pieces were already cut, Ericka knew she was on to
something. Hence the birth of Easy Quilt Kits™.
Easy
Quilt Kits™
mission is simple: Provide a fun and savvy resource for new
quilters to make an easy quilt!
Ericka built this business from small beginnings to what
it is today. But then Ericka's circumstances changed. She and
her family moved from Boston, MA all the way to Naples, Fl.
Of course this involved moving all her inventory and equipment.
They bought a new home and this took time. She helped and supported
her husband as he set up business there in the medical field.
That too took time. After much agonizing over what to do about
this business she loved so much and with great sadness and tears,
Ericka decided she would have to make the ultimate sacrifice,
let go of her business that she had worked so hard to build,
to 'be with her family'.
This is where I, Theresa L. Berggren from Ithaca, NY enter the
picture. I was fortunate enough to be able to take over where
Ericka left off. Easy
Quilt Kits™
mission continues to
be about helping make quilting easy and fun with quality pre-cut kits of many
different designs. Our goal to help develop
another confident and competent quilter. Yet due to time
and circumstances there has been much demand to branching out to
also include kits for the more experienced quilter.
I look forward to a long and happy quilt kit relationship with
each and every one you who have worked with Ericka in the past
and many new faces and friends. Enjoy your experience! Be sure to sign up for
