Does it matter if your pre-cut kits are
cut by hand or a laser? That is a good question. What you need to
know about hand cuttingand when we say hand cut we mean with a
rotary cutter, is that when a business is cutting fabric
for kits they obviouslyneed to cut large quantities at a time. That means they may be cutting anywhere
from ten to fifteen layers of fabric at a time. Why does this matter? Well when cutting
by hand it is very important that the cutter be precise and keep the rotary cutter
perfectly straight up and down, even the slightesttilting of the blade will change
the cut from the top layer to the bottom layer. Now, maybe the person who cuts their kits
by hand is pretty accurate most of
the time. However, people are bound to have "off
days", times when they are distracted. It is simply impossible to guarantee
accurate cuts every single time when cutting by hand. Unfortunately human error effects us all.
So why risk it. The laser never has "off
days" and is never distracted. ;o)
